Secretary Bellows: “See you in Court”

Secretary of State Shenna Bellows made the following statement in response to reporting from the Washington Post that Trump is looking to sign a state of emergency enabling him to “nationalize elections”:

“Today’s reporting is not surprising; it’s what I and others have long warned could be coming. Trump is like the bad boyfriend who can’t get over a breakup– and he’s willing to burn down our constitution and 250 years of democratic rule. Let us be clear: there was no foreign intervention in the 2020 election, as many courts have found, many many times. I will do everything in my power to push back against this executive order and if he goes through with this, I look forward to seeing him in court.”
