Secretary of State Shenna Bellows Responds to Video of Federal Agents Killing Man in Minnesota

Augusta – Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows releases the following statement in response to the video footage of another life taken at the hands of federal agents in Minnesota: 


“I’m horrified by today’s killing in Minnesota by federal agents. Allowing violent, untrained, masked agents to roam our streets committing acts of violence is disgusting and un-American. These agents must be held accountable and President Trump needs to pull agents out of Maine and Minnesota now.”

Last week, in response to ICE’s actions in Minneapolis and in anticipation of similar operations in Maine, Secretary Bellows paused issuing any confidential license plates to ICE and Customs and Border Protection.
