Secretary of State Shenna Bellows Condemns Department of Defense’s Decision to End Collective Bargaining at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows is calling on President Trump to reverse his decision to end union agreements at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. 

"Donald Trump claims that union activities harm American defense, but the real threat to US safety is his own unhinged and unnecessary escalations with foreign adversaries. Unions are good for workers and good for our national security – protecting safe working conditions and fair wages at the shipyard to ensure that Bath-built is best-built. Workers need these union protections now more than ever, and the President should reverse course.”
